FLL Registration is open for the 2010 season. You do not have to register today, but registering early is better than later because FIRST will ship your coaches manual and your challenge set to you in an early batch if you register soon.

Coaches manual (and robot kit) will ship out soon after you register and the Challenge Set will ship out beginning August 2. Coaches who register in late summer or early fall will have to wait longer to receive their materials.

Registrations will continue until mid-Sept or until the number of teams allocated for the year are gone, which ever comes first. The goal for the US and Canada is 9,500 teams, and a total of 17,100 teams around the globe! US and Canadian Teams register online


You will need to create an account with FIRST. Make sure you give them an email address that you will check often throughout the season. This is how they and we will communicate with you.

Important Registration Information

To ensure that your team’s registration and ordering process is correct and
complete, and to prevent possible confusion, please take time to carefully
read the sections below.

- Register early. A dramatic surge in registration/orders occurs in
mid-August. If you place your order during this rush, expect at least a
two-week turnaround for delivery once LEGO Education or Spectrum receives
your payment.

- Purchase Robot Set and Field Setup Kit early. FLL Materials (Robot
Set and Field Setup Kit) are not included in the Team Registration fee. FLL
Materials have to be ordered by the close of registration, but are subject to
product availability. Due to this reason, we highly recommend that every
team purchase the Field Setup Kit early. A robot set is needed to
participate. Field Setup Kits are needed to compete, but can be shared
between teams.

- Event Fees and Field Setup Kit costs are additional - The Team
Registration fee does not include the Field Setup Kit or participation in an
event. Event fees will be set by and paid separately.


Checklist of information you need before you start:

- Shipping address (no postal boxes)
- Billing address
- Payment method (if paying by credit card, billing address must match credit card statement)
- List of materials you will buy - see Product Descriptions and Pricing for a complete list
- Team name (can be changed)
- Coach’s e-mail address, if the person registering is not the coach (can be invited at a later time)
