We are in planning stages now for approximately 18 first level Qualifying Tournaments, 3 second level Regionals, and the Nor Cal Championship!
NEW for 2010: Tournaments with special criteria [such as the Google and the Girl Scouts tournaments] will use a pre-registration process for teams to apply between September 5? to 30 - Stay Tuned for how to apply - an email will go out on the NorCalFLL-Announce googlegroup! Teams will be notified within 1 week after this pre-reg closes on acceptance status. General tournament registration will open in early October.
Teams need to have both of the following items taken care of:
1) Qualifying Tournament payment (Details) - $50 again this year
2) 2010 Release of liability forms (English, Spanish) received - one for each and every team member and one for each and every coach/mentor Waivers get physically mailed to Playing At Learning 42668 Lerwick St. Fremont, CA 94539 Please make sure that you include your team number!
We will most likely be using a locally developed tournament registration system similar to what we used for the 2008 season (not last year's 2009 season).
All first level qualifying tournaments will be in November, on either 13th, 14th, 20th or 21st. Team may attend one. We are open to scheduling a "weekday" afternoon tournament on either Nov 11th or 22nd - we have a willing SF location - But, we need 12 teams interested in this option (

if you are). We expect the vast majority of last year's 2009 tournament sites to happen in the same or a nearby location this year. We have some new sites coming as well...
Regional tournaments will be in early December on 4th,5th,11th,12th. Team will attend one if they advance from their qualifier. The Nor Cal Championship tournament will be in January, most likely on 15th, 22nd, or 29th. A fixed percentage of teams will advance between tournament levels.
