We are pleased to formally announce the following grant options for 2008 Northern California FTC teams:

1)  Returning FTC teams are  eligible for $450 grant to help defray the cost of the 2008 robotics kit.  No application required.

2) New Northern California  FTC teams with demonstrated need are eligible for a FIRST grant of $450 to help defray the cost of the 2008 robotics kit.  Application is required.

3) *NEW*   LSI Corporation grant for $600 for new teams.  Teams must meet and members must reside in the following cities:   Mt. View, Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, San Jose, Milpitas and Fremont.  Application is required.  There are 5 grants available and a preference is given to teams with demonstrated need and/or teams that have members from under-represented groups in engineering and science.

Note that additional funds may come available,  so please do not hesitate to submit a grant application even if the conditions above do not fit your team’s situation.
