Did you apply for a 2009 FIRST Scholarship?    Let us know!  Do you recognize any of the winners below as being from Northern California?  Let us know! In 2009, the FIRST Scholarship Program provided:

  • Over $9.8 million in college scholarships
  • Over 630 individual scholarship opportunities –   Listing
  • Over 130 Scholarship Providers

These are scholarships for individuals to help pay for college.  Most are available to high school students that participate in either FRC or FTC.

Congrats to the 47 California FIRST Scholarship winners that were awarded approximately $210,000 in scholarship dollars!   What can we do to increase the number of Northern California applicants (and hopefully, then, increase the number of winners)?

[ed -jmw]  This list was copied as of August 20, 2009 from the FIRST 2009 site merely as a way to give kudos to our scholars here in California.

This is not a complete list  – we only extracted those from California and FIRST only knows about those that were reported to them.  FIRST will continue to post winners on the link above as they are notified by 2009 FIRST Scholarship Providers.

Due to privacy concerns, FIRST will not display the last names or team numbers of FIRST Scholarship winners.
